Dr Anne-Charlotte DUPONT

Dr DUPONT studied general medicine and sports medicine at the University of Nancy in France and completed a hospital assistantship in cardiology. She was in charge of the cardiac rehabilitation department including stress tests and developed a consultation of sports medicine including traumatology. Now she works for the “Division Médico-Sportive” at the Ministry of Sports in Luxembourg and at the Sportlycée for the medical follow-up of the students.

Simultaneously she broadened her professional background with a second scope in research. She carried out her PhD always in Nancy on the topic of the cardiovascular remodeling studied by MRI in long distance triathletes combined with a study of the load and the structure of their training. Her other issues of interest are sports cardiology or gynecological health in female athletes for example.

Today she is a member of the National Society for Sports Medicine in France and in Luxembourg, of the Club of Sports Cardiologists in France and of the European Society of Cardiology.

Finally, she is passionate about sports both on TV and on the field. For many years, she is strongly committed in instances for triathlon as Vice-President of the French Federation of Triathlon (FFTRI) and President of the National Medical Committee. Before becoming an amateur triathlete, she was a national-level horse rider for 15 years.
