Alexandre Maricot, PhD, is a post-doctoral researcher at LIROMS whose work spans both musculoskeletal injury research and elite sport policy. His research integrates neuroscience and clinical assessment to better understand the mechanisms underlying injury, rehabilitation, and athletic performance, while also contributing to the development and evaluation of evidence-based high-performance sport policies using the SPLISS framework.

His research interests focus on the interaction between the brain and movement, particularly how perceptual-cognitive and neurophysiological processes influence injury risk, rehabilitation, and return-to-sport outcomes. He has expertise in electroencephalography, eye-tracking, and functional performance testing among others.

Alongside his work in sports medicine, Alexandre contributes to international projects evaluating elite sport policies, talent development pathways, athlete support systems, and dual career environments. His research aims to bridge scientific evidence with policy and practice to improve athlete health, performance, and the effectiveness of high-performance sport policies.
